'Wolverine 3' pegged with R rating moving forward; Thank you, Deadpool

Deadpool is seemingly the gift that just keeps on giving.

Fox revealed to attendees of the 2016 Toy Fair that they are targeting/anticipating an R-rating for Hugh Jackman's -- supposed -- final appearance as Wolverine.

One beautiful Reddit user snapped a photo of the evidence and shared with the ever-drooling web:

This obviously comes on the heels of Deadpool, 20th Century's first R-rated superhero movie, eviscerating he box office. The Merc with the Mouth and the X-Men are clearly connected in the movie universe, and one could assume that Fox finally responded to the 20-pound salmon hitting them in the face that is a blood-soaked and terrifying version of Wolverine.

The photo shown above is reportedly what Fox was passing out to people attending the Toy Fair. I have one question, was this the plan all along or is Deadpool having the fastest evolutionary impact on a genre that has never been seen before?

Wolverine -- and Hugh Jackman -- could stand to benefit the most from a franchise with an rated-R tag. Now, if only Ryan Reynolds could convince Hugh to stick around for a couple of crossovers between the two.

Wolverine 3 is set for release in March 2017.
