Telltale Games releases new Batman trailer

Sweet mother of Moses, this looks good

Today Telltale Games premiered its trailer for their upcoming Batman game series, which will be released as episodes starting August 2nd.

If you enjoyed Telltale's 'Walking Dead' and 'the Wolf Among Us' games,  then you're no stranger to the addicting nature of an episodic release. The fact that this will star everyone's favorite Bat-themed vigilante in installments is just so ridiculously exciting. Batman works great due to its existence as a series, able to take its time in developing story and characters, and now a gaming company that specializes in both of those same aspects is sinking its teeth into one of the richest comic book mythologies of all time...

It's a great time to be alive, friends.

The game also takes place in its own version of the Batman timeline, distinct from other games, movies, or comics. “It starts in a familiar place,” Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner told The Verge back at E3, “but it does not end in a familiar place.” The game will be available on a huge range of platforms when it’s available next month, including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
