Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film reportedly a 'year and a half out'

A year-and-a-half doesn't seem so bad, right?

The Suicide Squadcast, while at a Time Warner investor press conference, caught CEO Jeff Bewkes saying that “Ben announced a Batman movie he’s going to direct, star, write for. I think it’s a year and a half out.”

Comic Book Resources picked up the tidbit caught by the Suicide Squadcast. This alleged timetable would put the Battffleck solo movie with a release of around March or April of 2018.

OK. So that sounds terrible.

Here is a little of what we know:

Joe Manganiello, known for his roles in True Blood and Magic Mike, has been cast as Deathstroke.

Affleck will write, star and direct, so, that's awesome news.

Jeremy Irons, Alfred, and J.K. Simmons, Commissioner Jim Gordon, will be involved.

The movie will follow Zack Snyder’s “Justice League," which has got to be his last straw and is set to release Nov. 17, 2017. To listen to the full audio from the Squadcast in question, click here.
