Trailer Review: Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

THIS is how you do a trailer. The better DC cinematic universe (the animated one) is kicking all sorts of ass these days. Justice League Dark got high marks from Kevin and the next installment into this animated world is the long anticipated Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.

For an animated film, TJC has a long and strange history leading up to even this trailer. It was initially announced back in 2006 and was supposed to be made following Justice League: New Frontier. The studio instead opted to shelve the project in 2008 in favor of Batman: Gotham Knight and the highly acclaimed Wonder Woman animated film. DC went so far as to pronounce the project dead in 2010. Now, 7 years later, we are blessed with this trailer.

TJC will be the sequel to Justice League vs Teen Titans. The entire voice cast will return along with the addition of Christina Ricci as Terra and one of Miguel Ferrer's final performances as Deathstroke. This voice cast was already killing it, with standout performance all around in JL vs TT. The little bits of Ricci and Ferrer that we get in this trailer are stellar, Jake T. Austin as Blue Beetle looks to shine again. And of course, we're ALWAYS excited (especially Emily) about more Sean Maher as Nightwing.

The animation as always looks incredible and it gives you JUST enough to not give away the story. The little bit at the end showcasing the evolution of the relationship between Damien and Dick is spectacular.

While it still lacks a release date, we hope the studio doesn't wait too long and we start getting more regular fixes from the best DC Cinematic Universe.
