All In Chicago announces Kenny Omega vs Penta as co-main event on 'Being the Elite'

As if "Being the Elite" wasn't already required watching, the crew announced the "co-main event" for its upcoming All In show on the Sunday, Aug. 12 episode and, boy, it's a doozy.

IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega will face the red-hot Penta in the event set for Sept. 1 at the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago. The last week has been chalk full of match announcements, and this absolutely is the cherry dipped in morphine on top.

So far, we've got:

  • "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs "Arrow" star Stephen Amell
  • 15-person Over the Budget Battle Royal with the winner getting a shot at Jay Lethal and his ROH World Championship later in the night
  • SCU vs The Briscoes
  • Marty Scurll vs Kazuchika Okada
  • Rey Mysterio, Fenix and Bandido vs The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi
  • Madison Rayne vs. Britt Baker vs. Chelsea Green vs. Tessa Blanchard
  • Nick Aldis vs Cody for NWA World Heavyweight Championship
  • Hangman Page vs Joey Janela with Penelope Ford

The All In pre-show will start on WGN America at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 before moving over to PPV and FITE TV starting an hour later at 7 p.m. The pre-show being on WGN America is unreal huge for a show of this nature, that's a nationwide cable company serving as a stepping stool to your perceived one-off PPV. Unreal.
